Author: Roderick Lebon

Roderick Lebon has been a ringer for 57 years, ringing in 561 peals and over 2000 towers across the world. He and his wife are members of the elite senior ringing society, The Ancient Society of College Youths founded in London in 1637. He has been ringing master of St. George’s, Benenden, since 1982, being responsible for their tuning and rehanging in a steel frame in 1971, and, in 2003, their augmentation to be the only church in Kent with a full ring of twelve bells apart from Canterbury Cathedral. He trains many beginners to the art; and continues to ring also with the Cambridge University Guild and the Kent County Association.
