I have always loved making pictures from a young age. ln 1987, at the age of18 I studied a degree in Printmaking at West Surrey College of Art and Design, Farnham. At 22, I moved to Brighton and began a postgraduate course in Printmaking at The polytechnic. A year later I completed a PGCE course in Art and DESIGN in the same college and became an Art teacher. My first job was working as a Secondary School Art teacher in Francistown, Botswana sponsored by the Botswana government in conjunction with the British Council. I lived in Southern Africa for nearly 4 and half years and my experience had a profound effect on my life and Art. After a further 20 years of Art teaching I have now left the profession and am enjoying the extra time I rarely enjoyed as a teacher to again regularly produce drawings and prints.
